Documentary with Inserts

Watching a documentary on the career of singer/songwriter Jon Bon Jovi. While they were doing interviews with the man himself, they would talk about a particular song and while they were talking have footage of the film clip of the song or video footage of the song being performed live in concert. While the interview felt like there had been nothing cut out or altered, editing the interview was made easy by having inset shots of performances. This editing technique was used throughout the documentary.
